To appreciate the little things... and every little thing is a moment just for us...

This picture made me laugh so hard, I almost peed myself... And it was the catalyst for tonight's post. Well that, and a statement my son, Zachary, made this evening.

He said, " The way I'm looking at life, it doesn't seem offer enough fulfillment. I used to look forward to little things, new video games, new toys..."
I replied; "those things used to fill your cup, but now the cup is bigge,r and it takes more than a game to fill it up..."

"Yeah..." His acceptance. 

This is where the little things come in... We allow ourselves to get lost in the programming of our society. We lose touch with our true nature of who we are to the point that we don't even recognize ourselves anymore and the little things, the material things, just don't seem to reach our need to feel deeply, about what we are doing in life.

The beautiful part about this is Zachary, learning this at 15, instead of thirty-four,like myself. Imagine how far his reach will now be into the next generation. How far we have come in such a short time, rewriting the history of the ages, just by directing our thoughts on those things greater than ourselves.

To fill our cup... To see the little things...I remember, as a child, spending hours being mesmerized watching a bug move across the driveway. To sit, and truly look upon a Wild Iris, opening its hues of gold and violet to the sun. We have filled our days with so much stimulus, so much superficial gratification to garner... And to what end? The same search tomorrow...

I gently reminded Zachary, that it is our responsibility to create the precious moments, in our own lives. To make a different choice, to see the wonder that is created, when we live a life of appreciation, not of expectations of our happiness coming to us from somewhere out there...

To know, that the plant I ate in my salad tonight, started a path, months ago, to arrive here on this day to sustain my body and being. (Not in a narcissistic way). That it truly lived just for me...

Think about that, about everything you ate today, it all truly lived and existed just to sustain you. And how many people, with their various lives, death of loved ones, battles, sick children, lost homes.... How many of them played a role in getting that food to you. That is how important you are to the universe... These are the little things... These are the things we/I all take for granted on a daily basis to the point that we actually, say we are bored, and, what is there to this life? (That is another Blog to come, Economic Slavery in the 21st Century...).

In this life we have the total responsibility to be totally who we are, for real! Not the who we are for this person, who we are for our Parents, who we are for our Teachers, who we are for our Bosses.

The Universe will give us exactly what we want when when become exactly who we are... Period. 

 There is no other way it can respond. to have the Courage to speak the truth as you see it to be, even if your voice shakes... To Have the faith in ones self. To believe that these things, our food, whether plant or animal live and die for us... For us to live... For us to experience so much more than American Idol!?!



That the beauty of the sky was not to be forsaken for the city lights of un-absolved fear in the hearts of Humans. Why so many people are on medication to keep the drones moving. To keep this tumbling machines wheels spinning. Just so we wont remember who we are...

The beauty of the light in another's eyes. To see others with our hearts and not our fear and judgment. To live in the belief, that If I live a life that forwards the life of those around me, if I take time to see that, if we removed the human beings off the face of the earth... Life, everday, would forever exisit and move in harmony with the rest of the universe. So as one of the humans upon this planet, every gesture is a gift to someone. even yourself. Every Smile is permission to know you have been seen and have affected another in a life forwarding way. The more we live to give, the more gifts come to us... there is no other way, live for life, not just yourself. Love yourself in the process as you are a gift upon this planet. You ahve been given this meat puppet, we call a body and are asked to show up... So let show up for real. It can only get better... Life works in its own Ironic fashion. Learn the energetic rules and it flows, bringing joy and happiness, along with a little heartache.(So we can appreciate the joy and happiness.)
