I wrote these Song Lyrics right after the 9/11 debacle. I stumbled across it as I was cleaning out some files... I am going to have Hayley put it to music... I would love her to record it... Early to bed... Zach and I are going to clean up a mile of highway tomorrow with my fire district... And then... Pancakes...
In early September, a day will remember…
Planes fell from the sky…Thousands started to die.
We watched cnn to get all of the news
The world just watching to see what we’ll choose.
Nostradamus... predicted the brothers will fall…
Beginning the war... to bring an end to it all.
Bush speaks of evil that blackened our eye…
But will we learn, that this time… what we need... is to cry…
For all of the children, who don’t understand
The simple fear that we teach them... will ruin this land..
For all of the children, who witness our hate
Will they realize the truth... before its to late
Chorus:
We can all choose life, or an eye for an eye
How many, millions of people,... must die for our pride…
How many times will we choose,... might is what’s right…
When we tell the all the children its not right to fight.
I see the hate in the world, bringing so much destruction, so much decay… all for nothin’
I ask my children... to see things in a new way…
A world of compassion... a world, without fear…
Where all life is sacred,, all life is dear…
They choose to believe... it can happen this way…
I choose to show them, through the things that I say
I show them, that actions speak so much louder than words...
I teach them the strength... to step away from the heard…
We can all choose life, or an eye for an eye
How many, millions of people,... must die for our pride…
How many times will we choose,... might is what’s right…
When we tell the all the children its not right to fight.
So here is the tale that many thousands hold…
The fate of this planet is yet to unfold
I choose to hold a vision where the healing wins out
When the struggle and pain fades as fast as our doubt
No one is less than, and no one is more…
No matter your wealth, no matter how poor
I see you my brother, my sister too… I see the child inside,... just trying to get through…
I see you with love, and I honor your life,... will you honor mine when the time is right...
So all those in power... all those with the fear…
Trust this all can change... if we allow for the tears…
For every being... that’s ever felt, the pain… of fear…
We can all choose life, or an eye for an eye
How many, millions of people,... must die for our pride…
How many times will we choose,... might is what’s right…
When we tell the all the children its not right to fight.
When we tell the all the children its not right to fight.
